Permit data, city by city
What each city publishes
Every permit on Lead Blueprint comes straight from the city's own open data, and every city publishes different details. If a permit is missing a project value or the firm on site, it's because the city didn't publish it, not because we're holding it back. Here's exactly what each city gives us, measured from the permits on the board right now.
Every city, every permit
- The type of work, sorted into your trade, and the issue date
- The scope of work as the city described it, with any personal details removed
- The street address, on Basic and Pro
- Never homeowner names or phone numbers. We don't collect them.
We check every city each morning. A new permit appears on the board the day the city publishes it, but some cities publish in batches, so their newest permit can be a week or more old.
